Our workshops help older adults learn the tech they use every day, from emails and video calls to online safety, all in a relaxed, hands-on environment with volunteers.

After each session, tea and treats provide a chance to share stories and build lasting intergenerational friendships.

Bridging Generations Through Digital Learning

The Inspiration

We aim to create a space of community and co-creation, where learning digital skills is welcoming and supportive. We want to foster communities that have equitable access and confidence in the digital space.

Bonus points if you make a new friend along the way!

The Work

While our vision spans all ages, we currently prioritize older adults in the Greater Victoria area.

Many older adults face high risks of cybercrime, increased barriers to digital access due to a lack of personalized guidance.

→ In a RBC Cyber Security Poll, ~83% of those 55+ were worried about unauthorized access to accounts / personal info.

(RBC × Ipsos Cybersecurity Pol, 2022)

The Vision

Our long-term vision is to foster a community that takes care of each other in the digital ecosystem. In doing so, we empower folks of every generation to thrive in a rapidly evolving, technological world. It’s more than a nonprofit, it’s a movement to bridging the digital divide together.

→ While 67% of seniors surf the internet regularly, only 26% feel very confident using computers and smartphones.
